Our research library boasts a nearly complete collection of Windsor High School Tunxis yearbooks. A perennial favorite of visitors, we wanted to share these with you all here.
This online collection only comprises yearbooks from 1951 to the present. Our library holds earlier yearbooks going back to 1915, but they have not yet been digitized (if we came by a generous donor who would like to help us out with that, we wouldn’t say no!). Years we are missing are 1986 and 2005. If you know anyone who has these yearbooks and would like to donate them, please contact librarian/archivist Michelle Tom!
A giant thank you to OCI Records Conversion for digitizing these yearbooks for us!
(note: this page may take a little while to load all 65 cover images)
Does anyone have any class pictures from Oliver Ellsworth Elementary School? Would have been from 1973 or 74 up to 1979 is when we moved to Ma. I got emancipated at the age of 16, so I never got any of those things, I remember I had Ms Valente first… I remember Ms. Hopkins was my Favorite teacher, anyone else remember her bringing in her Scuba gear and showing us how it worked? some of the other teachers were Mr Simeone (I think that was his name… ) Mr Paugh and I do not remember the name of the other teacher I had… The only pic from School I have is Me at age 5, Kindergarten, Noah Webster Elementary School, Enfield CT, then we moved to Basswood Rd. in Windsor… My name is Theresa Alban, in case anyone wrote names on their pics… I was super shy as a kiddo… I am trying to piece together some of my past and any help would be much appreciated TYVVM ~
Unfortunately, we don’t have any class photos from Oliver Ellsworth. When we posted class pics from John Fitch, Roger Wolcott, and Deerfield, we also put out a call for anyone who might have photos from the newer schools because our collection is sorely lacking any. We’ve since received a small handful from JFK and Clover, but still nothing from Oliver Ellsworth, I’m sorry to say. If you know of anyone who has them who would be interested in donating them to us, or even just loaning them to us so we can scan them, we’d be very grateful!
