SOLD OUT. Wait list available only.

Ever wonder about the days before you grabbed your bread slices from a plastic bag with twist ties, and opened a can of stew to heat on the stove? Come to the Society’s award-winning hands-on Strong-Howard House hearth and cook up some hearty breads and soups to stave off the cold.

Prepare delicious anadama bread, pompion (pumpkin) bread, long rolls, T. Jefferson’s sweet potato rolls, or whole wheat bread in the bake oven, plus corn chowder and onion and gourd soups over the hearth under Becky Hendricks’ expert tutelage. Sample all and then take some home.

Cost: $65 plus the cost of food ingredients.

Pre-registration required. Limit 6 participants, ages 12 and up. Max 2 participants per family.
(Note: your registration date determines the order in which you get to pick amongst the selected dishes, so register early!)

Snow date: January 20
