New WHS Board members Kaleitha Brown, Ashley Coleman, Daniel Crittenden, and W. Renata Dixon.

Four new Directors joined the Society’s Board this June, bringing valuable new skills and perspectives as we begin our second century. We are excited to welcome:

Kaleitha Brown
Windsor resident; Development Director, CT-Kids, Incorporated.

Ashley Coleman
Windsor resident; Community Investment Program Manager, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving; ConnectiCorps Member Manager, CT Nonprofit Alliance.

Daniel Crittenden
Windsor resident, past WHS intern; Development Coordinator, Sylvester Turner Ministries; Lead Partner, Bolland Collaborative, LLC.

W. Renata Dixon
Windsor resident; President, Dixon and Company; Finance Director, Hill-Stead Museum; Board of Directors, Capital Workforce Partners.

At the same time, Tom Gorman has stepped down from the Board and Bob Bell has stepped down from his role as Vice President but will remain on the Board. Both deserve our thanks for many years of dedicated service!

The Board also appointed new officers for the coming year, appointments that were affirmed by membership at the June 23rd annual  meeting. We are pleased that Agnes Pier will continue as President, Randy McKenney has agreed to serve as Vice President, and Liz Burke will continue as Secretary. Mark Walker and Randy Graff have agreed to continue serving at Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, respectively.

We are truly fortunate to have such dedicated and talented volunteer leadership!

WHS board, June 2021

Will this be our WHS last Zoom Board meeting? We don’t know, but we do know we’re excited to welcome our many newest Board and staff members to the June Director’s meeting!
