Forgotten Acres’ hives are located on their farm right here in Windsor, and are situated along the edge of their pumpkin patch. They extract their honey twice a year (Spring and Fall) and it sells out quickly! All of their honey is considered wildflower, as their bees visit a variety of flowers and plants throughout the season. They have switched to “old school” wooden frames with pure wax foundation. They use no chemicals in their hives (or gardens) to ensure the health of their bees. It’s more work, but they think it’s worth it. Frames are removed from the hive, extracted by hand, never heated, and only gravity filtered. Simply put, the taste is unbelievable!
