The message reads: “Dear Loving Boy Joseph, Hope this note find you out of the hospital enclosing 4 po[s]tales of Windsor views. Now Joseph keep up in good spirits as war is near over and more than likely before this reaches you, as three countries has surrender and Germany left all to her self which means Victory, to Uncle Sam and Allies. Margaret”
