One house is marked with X and identified as Mr. Ramsey. Message on the verso addressed to Pvt. Joseph Bushnell who was serving in the European theatre during World War I. The inscription reads: “Dear Loving Bro Joseph, This view is Pleasent St. I tried to get one of East St. So I expect to have you home soon, and next spring that you’ll be going up there to plant the field. So I think war is nearly over as three countries has surrender. So Germany stand all alone. I expect to have you home for your Birthday. Margaret.”
