Have you wanted to visit but can’t wait until we open at 11 AM because it’s the kids’ lunch time and then after that it’s nap time?
Bring the whole crew on the morning of the first Saturday of the month, and from 9 to 11 AM, enjoy our Windsor history galleries,Hands-on-History Learning Center (now with train table!), and the completely hands-on Strong-Howard House. Scavenger hunts are available, and you can explore at your own pace. Perfect for even the youngest learners (crawling is encouraged), we’ll have guides nearby to answer questions you might have as you play.
Sorry — no face painting because of a death in the artist’s family.
Regular house tours will still be held at 11 AM and 1 PM, and the research library will be open from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Windsor history galleries and Hands-on-History Learning Center: FREE (as always)
Strong-Howard House: children 12 & under, teachers, members are FREE; adults $8; students & seniors $6.
Admission covers the whole day if you decide to stay.
This is the last Learn-and-Play event before a summer hiatus. But don’t worry, they’ll be back in the fall.
