Windsor Veteran’s Photo Share is a joint program with the Windsor Senior Center and Windsor Historical Society. Windsor-area Veterans are invited to share a special photo or image of their time in uniform as well as their memories about what makes the photo so special! A free breakfast for Windsor Veterans will be provided at the Windsor Senior Center from 9:30 to 10 AM, and the program will follow immediately after the breakfast. This program will take place in person at the Windsor Senior Center, 599 Matianuck Avenue in Windsor.

Historical Society and Senior Center staff will assist with collecting and scanning photos so that Veterans can easily share during the program. Veterans will be able to keep their original photos while helping Windsor Historical Society document the experiences of Windsor men and women in uniform!

How to Share Your Photos and Stories

If you have a photo you’d like to share, please send it to us by noon, November 9th. You can send it via email to mtom@windsorhistoricalsociety.org, or you can mail or drop off the photo at the Windsor Historical Society or at the Windsor Senior Center, and we’ll scan it in and return it to you.

Please include the following information about the photo if you have it: date, names of people or places in the photo, location, name of photographer, and anything else we should know about the scene depicted.

During the program, we will display each photo and invite you to speak for a few minutes about your special experience!
