Researching your family tree? Stuck on a brick wall? This informal gathering of fellow researchers engages in lively discussion and problem-solving via zoom.
In February we have a special treat as Jenny Hawran will be joining us for a few minutes to talk about the Connecticut Society of Genealogists. Jenny has been researching her genealogy for over 30 years and has deep roots in Connecticut’s first town – Windsor. She is the current President of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists, VIS chair for Windsor’s Abigail Wolcott Ellsworth Chapter of the DAR and on the Board of Governors for the Descendants of the Founders of Ancient Windsor. She is the owner of the blog, Like-Herding-Cats.com , which chronicles her genealogy journey. When she is not chasing ancestors, Jenny is the Executive Director of Windsor Community Television
The Society has a World Explorer membership to Ancestry.com, which means worldwide records are available to all support group participants. We also have memberships to the American Ancestors (NEHGS) and Newspapers.com, and access to the Hartford Courant archives and the Descendants of the Founders of Ancient Windsor (DFAW) database. Come see what it’s all about.
Maximum 10 participants.
