Join Windsor Historical Society for another fun and safe family event highlighting the world of Annie’s Home protagonist Annie Howard. Annie’s Home is the Society’s newest publication – a children’s story based on the real people who lived in the historic Strong-Howard House in the year 1810.

Families may drop in anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24th, to visit Annie’s home, meet members of her family, and participate in demonstrations and activities that Annie would have done as a young woman growing up in 19th-century Windsor. The Annie’s World event for families and children takes place at Windsor Historical Society and is free. Participants may also purchase copies of the new Annie’s Home book for the special price of $15.

To maintain a COVID-safe environment the public is invited to drop in any time between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM (please don’t all come at 11!).  Face masks are required, and guests are asked to maintain social distancing to ensure a safe and healthy event.

Those unable to make it on October 24, may wish to join Windsor Historical Society for its next Annie-themed event:

*Annie’s Kitchen. Saturday, November 21, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Families are invited to drop in and participate in preparing food and cooking on the hearth as young Annie Howard would have done in early-19th-century Windsor. Free admission. (*health conditions permitting).
