Dear Friends,
The Board and staff of Windsor Historical Society place the highest priority on the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, and members. It is therefore our duty to report that the Society’s museum and research library will temporarily close to the public until April 4 April 22 [update as of March 25], at which time we will re-assess the situation.
In addition to this temporary closure we will postpone all public programs planned through the end of April. We will announce new dates for most events as soon as we are able, given regional conditions and guidelines, and look forward to welcoming you back to our museum and programs as soon as we are able!
During this time the Society’s staff will be working both from home and the office as needed, and will remain in regular communication during working hours. Please note that any research requests that require use of our physical library and archival resources may take a bit longer than usual as staff will not have regular access to these collections. Please bear with us during this time, and we will respond to you as soon as possible!
We remain ever-thankful for the continued support of our loyal members and public, and hope that during this time of ‘social-distancing’ you will stay connected with us and with each other through our website, facebook page, or emails…and remember…there is no better way to spend time at home than with a good history book!
It is my hope that, like our ancient predecessors, we will emerge from these tribulations with a new perspective, and will have learned some important things about ourselves and our neighbors as well.
Godspeed and stay healthy!
Doug Shipman
