The library is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am. until 4 pm. year round. However, we are closed on major holidays.  If you are making special plans to visit, please call (860) 688-3813 to confirm.

We are a research library; materials cannot be checked out.  Self service photocopies are $.15 each.  Lockers and a coat closet are provided. 

Items allowed in the library

• Laptop computers

• Research materials in open folders or notebooks

• Pencils

• Pagers and cellphones (if kept inaudible)

• Sweaters and jackets normally worn indoors

Items NOT allowed in the library

• Purses, briefcases, computer cases, backpacks

• Zippered notebooks, closed folders, envelopes

• Umbrellas and outerwear

• Pens, markers, lipstick, chewing gum, food, drink & other items potentially damaging to the collection

• Personal copiers, digital scanners & cameras

No marks may be added to or erased from any library materials.

Patrons should preserve the existing order and arrangement of all materials.  Errors in filing or labeling should be reported to the staff.
