Take
a guided tour and step into Windsor’s past as you cross the threshold
of one of our two historic homes. Our
houses are open year round.
Strong
House
c.
1758
This modest frame house tells the stories of three different
families who lived inside. Peek
into a tiny corner room to see the town’s first post office and
discover the small general store where a sea captain’s wife sold
imported fabrics. Meet the
Strong family who built the house, the Howard family during the
Revolutionary War, and the Stiles sisters in their Victorian parlor.
This house has steps and thresholds.
