Each year, hundreds of researchers use our library to explore local and family history.  We welcome all researchers and can accommodate groups including high school students and family reunions with advance planning.

The library houses extensive historical resources relating to the town of Windsor and its people.  Highlights include thousands of historic photographs, 17th-20th century manuscripts (many indexed by date and by family name), more than 350 published genealogies of Windsor families, family correspondence files, and subject files.

Our library also maintains an important collection of books, manuscript collections, cemetery records, regional and state histories, town reports, local newspapers, school yearbooks, city directories, ephemera, and maps.

Descriptions of some of our collections and guides to their contents can be found on the Finding Aids section of this website.
