Windsor Historical Society's April 30th, 2016 House Tour

Windsor Historical Society's beloved biennial house tour “If These Walls Could Speak” occurred on April 30th, 2016 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Get the inside scoop on three centuries of house-construction in Windsor by visiting six homes representing the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Informed guides pointed out interesting architectural features in each home and you were able to see how homeowners have creatively and beautifully adapted historic features of their homes to fit modern life.

The house tour is one of the Society’s two major fundraisers this year, supporting public programs for schoolchildren and adults, and the operation of our historic houses, research library, exhibition galleries, and family learning center. Homes on the tour (some of which have never before been open to the public) include:

  • 209 Palisado Avenue (1800)
  • 225 Palisado Avenue (1790)
  • 235 Palisado Avenue (Old Bell School, 1871)
  • 134 Pleasant Street (1890)
  • 90 Preston Street (1923)
  • 1065 Windsor Avenue (1787)
