Windsor Historical Society Guide Training: Historic Homes

October 5       10 AM – noon



Learn more about the Society’s John and Sarah Strong House, saved by Society members from demolition in the 1920’s.  You’ll meet three families who lived there in the 18th and 19th centuries including a West Indies merchant and his family, and the four Stiles sisters who lived in the home during the Victorian era.  Visit Dr. Hezekiah Chaffee’s grand home and learn more about his family, their slaves, their household furnishings, and his medical practice.  Third of four sessions.  FREE to WHS guides and prospective guides, otherwise $6 adults, $5 seniors and students and $4 WHS members.  Reservations by 10/4.  For more information, contact the Society at 860/688-3813.
