The Windsor Historical Society actively collects objects that
represent all aspects of Windsor’s history. We are currently focusing our collecting efforts in the
following areas: seventeenth-,
eighteenth-, and twentieth-century objects with Windsor provenance, as
well as objects with connections to the Strong and Chaffee Houses.
We are happy to discuss potential
donations. Should you wish
to donate an object to the collection, please note the following
guidelines:
-
Contact our curator at (860) 688-3813 if you
are considering the donation of an object and to make an
appointment.
-
Objects should be made by a Windsorite, for
a Windsorite, or used by a Windsorite.
-
Our Collections Committee comprised of
staff, board members, community members, and outside curators meets
four times per year to review potential acquisitions.
