Wondering how to entertain your children on President’s Day? Bring them to Candle-Dipping at Windsor Historical Society. We’ll provide different colors to make each candle unique.  The Society’s Hands-On-History Learning Center will be open where children can try on reproduction colonial clothing, try out a child-sized rope bed, or “milk” Flavia the cow. Use your engineering skills to build a toothpick-and-marshmallow replica of the Strong-Howard House or get creative and design a structure of your own. Take a Scavenger Hunt through our main exhibit galleries, try out the replica Native American canoe, and watch a working model of the Windsor Locks Canal. Also on view, Building Bridges: Windsor Walks, an exhibition created by Windsor High School’s Pre-AP Art class. COST: $5 adults, $4 seniors, $3 children, $2 members or $10 per family.  For more information, contact the Society at 860/688-3813. Snow Date: Tuesday, February 18, 10 AM to 4 PM.
