Behind-The-Scenes at Nadeauís Auction Gallery

August 6th Tour Concludes Collecting Windsor Series

The Windsor Historical Society invites collectors and antique enthusiasts on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Nadeauís Auction Gallery from 10 a.m. to noon on August 6, 2005.  Gallery owner Ed Nadeau will guide the tour through the auction house as it prepares for a sale of Victorian furniture, glass, and other decorative arts.   Participants will learn about the inner workings of one of New Englandís largest and fastest growing auction houses, and gain helpful tips on evaluating potential collections objects and developing successful bidding strategies. 

Ed Nadeau first opened Nadeauís Auction Galley in 1985, and moved the business from Colchester, Connecticut to Windsor, Connecticut in 1991.  Family owned and operated since its founding, the gallery holds bi-weekly auctions that specialize in fine arts, decorative arts, and antiques.   Nadeauís deals in a range of Connecticut and East Coast pieces, including a cherry high chest currently on display in the Windsor Historical Society exhibition Collecting Windsor, Treasures from the Windsor Historical Society on display at the Society through August 26th 2005.
