Windsor Historical Society’s major fundraiser this year is a festive,
pre-holiday auction on November 21, 2008, starting at 7 p.m. in
the community room of the Windsor Public Library at 323 Broad
Street with wine, cheese, and delectable desserts. Auction committee
members have solicited some truly wonderful items from generous
individuals and community business people.
Take
this opportunity for the holiday season to find a special gift or an
experience to be treasured and remembered. Tickets are available
for $20 at the Society’s offices at 96 Palisado Avenue (Route 159);
call 860-688-3813 x 102 for more information. They can also be
purchased at
Ashley’s Distinctive
Jewelry and Gifts, Day Hill Village Shoppes.
If you wish to place a
bid but cannot be present at the auction, please e-mail Christine Ermenc
cermenc@windsorhistoricalsociety.org by November 20th.
Include brief description of auction item, maximum amount of bid, credit
card type, number, expiration date, security code and exact name listed
on front of card. If your bid is successful, you will be charged a $20
processing fee in addition to your successful bid. This is an auction
with no sales tax and no buyer’s premium.
Auction purchases
support Windsor Historical Society’s programs for schoolchildren and
adults, and the operation of the Society’s historic houses, research
library, exhibition galleries, and family learning center.
