Windsor Historical Society and Ellsworth Association offer Antiques Weekend 

 

 

Save these dates!  September 13th and 14th will be a great time to learn more about antiques as part of Windsorís 375th birthday activities.

 

On Saturday September 13th from 1 - 4 p.m.,  Windsor Historical Society and Nadeauís Auction Gallery are teaming up to present an Antiques Road Show-style appraisal afternoon from 1- 4 PM.  For $5 per item, experts will appraise 5 items which might include your manuscripts, paper goods, historic clothing and textiles, furniture, glass, ceramics, metals, toys, or jewelry. 

 

Exhibit your antique or contemporary quilt!  The Ellsworth Memorial Association is now accepting applications for quilts to be exhibited at the Ellsworth Quilt Show.  This event will be held Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, 2008 in Matthies Hall on the grounds of the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, 778 Palisado Ave., Windsor, CT 06095, and is part of the town of Windsorís 375th anniversary celebration.  The Ellsworth Quilt Show will also include quilting related vendors, lectures by noted quilt experts, opportunities to have your antique quilt evaluated, and more.  To show your quilt, complete the application form found at http://www.ctdar.org/quilt.htm, or call Candy (860-870-8824) or Jolene (860-355-3294).  Applications will be accepted through July 1.
